What is NeoLife Tre-en-en Grain Concentrates?
NeoLife Tre-en-en Grain Concentrates is a daily cellular nutrition supplement built on whole grain plant oils. Each soft gelatin capsule supplies 675 mg of the TRE-EN-EN Grain Concentrate Blend, drawn from rice bran, soya beans and wheat germ, and the labelled dose for adults is one to three capsules daily with meals.
The blend is three cold pressed, cold processed plant oils: rice bran oil 300 mg, soya bean oil 225 mg and wheat germ oil 150 mg per capsule. Alongside them each capsule carries wheat germ powder 10 mg, stabilised rice bran powder 10 mg and vitamin E oil with mixed tocopherols 2 mg. The label states that the product contains no cholesterol.
It is made for NeoLife International Ltd, Lagos, Nigeria by Natural Formulas, 2125 American Avenue, Hayward, California, U.S.A., and carries NAFDAC Registration Number A7-0380. NeoLife introduced Tre-en-en in 1958. Recs-Medix supplies it in two bottle sizes, 60 capsules and 120 capsules, with identical contents in each.
This is a dietary supplement, not a medicine. It is intended to support general health and wellbeing, not to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. In the United Kingdom and European Union it is sold as a food supplement.
What is Tre-en-en used for?
Tre-en-en is used as a daily cellular nutrition supplement, supplying the lipid and sterol fraction of whole grains and soya beans. NeoLife positions it around the part those nutrients play in how cell membranes take nutrients in and move waste out, and it is taken as an everyday routine rather than as a short course.
NeoLife describes the product in these words:
- “Whole grain concentrates provide cellular nutrition for energy and vitality.”
- “Lipids and sterols provide critical support for the healthy cellular uptake of nutrients and cellular export of waste and metabolites.”
- “Tre-en-en Grain Concentrates provides lipids and sterols, filling the possible gaps in your nutrition with these essential nutrients.”
- “Supports efficient nutrient utilisation.”
- “Supports overall cardiovascular growth and development.”
- “TRE-EN-EN Grain Concentrates ‘feed your cells’ with an exclusive whole-food blend of extracts from wheat, rice and soya.”
What are the key benefits of Tre-en-en?
The benefits below follow from what the label declares: a fixed 675 mg of cold pressed whole grain oils per capsule, the phyto-lipids and phyto-sterols those oils carry, and a flexible daily dose. Each point is either printed on the pack or stated by NeoLife.
- Each capsule supplies 675 mg of the Grain Concentrate Blend — cold pressed rice bran, soya bean and wheat germ oils in declared amounts.
- Those oils carry phyto-LIPIDS including omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids, and phyto-STEROLS including beta-sitosterol, gamma-oryzanol, stigmasterol and campesterol, plus octacosanol.
- Cold pressed and cold processed to preserve nutritional value.
- Contains no cholesterol.
- Vitamin E oil with mixed tocopherols is included for antioxidant protection of the phytonutrients in the blend.
- A flexible one to three capsule daily dose, so a single bottle can be run at the pace that suits your routine.
These statements have not been evaluated by the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC). This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
What is inside each Tre-en-en capsule?
Each capsule contains 675 mg of the TRE-EN-EN Grain Concentrate Blend, made from three plant oils, plus three further declared ingredients and the capsule shell. Each entry below names the plant, the part of it used and the amount printed on the label.
Rice bran oil — 300 mg — Oryza sativa
The largest single component of the blend. Rice bran is the layer sitting immediately beneath the husk of the rice grain, and it is separated out when brown rice is milled into white rice. Rice bran oil is the source of gamma-oryzanol in this formula.
Soya bean oil — 225 mg — Glycine max
Pressed from soya beans. Soya bean oil carries both omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids and is one of the plant sources of the sterols beta-sitosterol, stigmasterol and campesterol. Soya is a declared allergen.
Wheat germ oil — 150 mg — Triticum aestivum
Pressed from the germ, the embryo at the base of the wheat berry, which is separated from the endosperm during milling along with the bran. Wheat germ oil is the source of octacosanol in this formula. Wheat is a declared allergen.
Wheat germ powder — 10 mg
Milled wheat germ in solid form rather than pressed oil, added alongside the oil fraction. Wheat is a declared allergen.
Stabilised rice bran powder — 10 mg
Rice bran in solid form, heat-stabilised so that the natural oils in the bran keep for longer without going rancid.
Vitamin E oil with mixed tocopherols — 2 mg
Included for antioxidant protection of the phytonutrients in the blend.
Capsule shell
The soft capsule shell is made from gelatin 148.38 mg, glycerin 68.43 mg, yellow beeswax 58.60 mg, purified water 18.80 mg, yellow iron oxide 0.68 mg and sodium copper chlorophyllin 0.41 mg. The chlorophyllin gives the capsule its plant-based green colour. The shell contains gelatin and beeswax, so Tre-en-en is not suitable for vegetarians or vegans.

Where do the lipids and sterols in Tre-en-en come from?
They come from the bran and germ of grains and from soya beans. A whole grain has three parts: the starchy endosperm, the oil-rich germ at its base, and the bran layers wrapping the outside. Milling a whole grain into a refined one, brown rice into white rice or wholemeal wheat into white flour, separates the bran and germ from the endosperm, and the oils sit largely in the two parts separated out.
NeoLife’s account of what follows is this: grain processing “might strip the outer nutrient-dense layers that provide lipids and sterols and other vital nutrients from the foods”, and Tre-en-en “provides lipids and sterols, filling the possible gaps in your nutrition with these essential nutrients”.
Tre-en-en works from the same fractions in reverse, concentrating the oil fraction itself from three of the plants those fractions come from, and the pack describes the result as providing “the complete lipid and sterol profile of wheat, rice and soya”. NeoLife gives the name as taken from the Greek for “three in one”. The bran also carries the grain’s fibre, which is a separate product: NeoLife Fibre Tablets concentrate the fibre side, Tre-en-en the oil side.
The compounds named on the pack are what those oils carry. Each is present as part of the oil rather than as a separately declared or standardised quantity.
Beta-sitosterol, stigmasterol and campesterol
Three plant sterols found together in soya bean and other vegetable oils. Beta-sitosterol is the most abundant plant sterol in the human diet, found across vegetable oils, nuts, seeds and legumes; structurally it is the plant counterpart of cholesterol. Together the three make up the bulk of the sterol fraction of most edible plant oils.
Gamma-oryzanol
A mixture of sterol compounds characteristic of rice bran oil, which is where it comes from in this formula. It is one of the compounds that distinguishes rice bran oil from other plant oils.
Octacosanol
A long-chain plant alcohol found in the waxy outer coating of plants, and present in wheat germ oil.
Omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids
Both are named on the label as part of the phyto-LIPID fraction of the blend. If you are looking for a supplement that declares a specific daily amount of EPA and DHA, that is a different product type, and NeoLife Omega-3 Salmon Oil Plus declares its omega-3 amounts per serving.
Whole grains, wholemeal bread, brown rice, oats and legumes remain the everyday food sources of these fractions. Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
How do you take Tre-en-en, and how long does a bottle last?
The label direction is straightforward: adults take one to three capsules daily with meals. Because the dose is a range, the same bottle lasts a different length of time depending on how you take it. The table below gives the calculated day supply for each bottle at each daily amount.
| Capsules per day | Grain Concentrate Blend per day | 60-capsule bottle | 120-capsule bottle |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 capsule | 675 mg | 60 days | 120 days |
| 2 capsules | 1,350 mg | 30 days | 60 days |
| 3 capsules | 2,025 mg | 20 days | 40 days |
Day supply figures are calculated from the pack size and the labelled dose. Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dose. Results are not instant. Results vary between individuals. Supplements are intended to support a healthy diet and lifestyle, not to replace them.
Should you choose the 60-capsule or the 120-capsule bottle?
Both bottles hold exactly the same capsule, with the same 675 mg blend, the same ingredients and the same NAFDAC registration. Only the capsule count differs, so the choice comes down to how long you want a single order to last.
- 60 capsules — the smaller bottle. Suits a first order, or a daily amount of three capsules with more frequent reordering.
- 120 capsules — the larger bottle. Twice the supply from one order and one delivery charge instead of two. At two capsules a day it covers two months.
Prices for both sizes are shown in the pack-size selector on this page, in Naira for Nigerian customers and in your own currency where available.
Who is Tre-en-en suitable for?
The dosage on the pack is written for adults. Tre-en-en suits anyone wanting a daily supplement built around whole grain oils rather than vitamins and minerals: adults looking for general daily wellness support, NeoLife customers rebuilding the routine it belongs to, and anyone taking targeted nutrient supplements alongside it.
It is not suitable for anyone with a wheat allergy, a soya allergy or coeliac disease, and it is not suitable for vegetarians or vegans. The next section covers this in full.
What should you know before taking Tre-en-en?
Tre-en-en contains two declared allergens and an animal-derived capsule shell. The points below cover both, along with the situations in which to speak to a doctor or pharmacist before you start taking it.
Contains wheat and soya
Tre-en-en contains wheat germ oil and wheat germ powder, and soya bean oil. Wheat and soya are both declared allergens in Nigeria, the United Kingdom, the European Union, the United States, Canada and Australia. Do not take this product if you have a wheat allergy, a soya allergy or coeliac disease. No gluten-free claim is made for Tre-en-en.
Not suitable for vegetarians or vegans
The capsule shell contains gelatin and yellow beeswax, both animal-derived. If you need halal or kosher confirmation before ordering, contact us and we can check the available product information for you.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Speak to your doctor, midwife or pharmacist before taking Tre-en-en if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Children
The dosage on the pack is given for adults. Keep out of reach of children, and speak to a doctor before giving any supplement to a child.
Prescription medicines and medical conditions
If you take prescription medicine, are due to have surgery, or are being treated for any medical condition, check with your doctor or pharmacist before starting Tre-en-en, as you would with any supplement.
If you already take Formula IV Plus
Tre-en-en is a component of some other NeoLife products. NeoLife Formula IV Plus contains 675 mg of the Tre-en-en Grain Concentrate Blend in every sachet, the same amount as one capsule here. If you take it already, count that in when you decide your daily Tre-en-en amount, and ask a pharmacist if you are unsure.
If you feel unwell after taking it
Stop taking Tre-en-en and speak to a doctor or pharmacist. Because the product contains declared wheat and soya, an allergic reaction is one possibility to raise with them, but any reaction that concerns you is worth reporting whether or not it fits that pattern.
What does Tre-en-en not do?
Tre-en-en is a food supplement. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and it is not a substitute for prescribed medicine or for medical advice. The boundaries below are stated plainly so that you know exactly what you are buying.
- It is not a treatment for cancer, heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes or memory loss.
- It is not a fertility treatment, a sexual performance product or a treatment for menstrual irregularity.
- It does not prevent illness or infection.
- It is not an appetite stimulant and it is not a weight-management product.
- It carries no guaranteed result.
- It contains wheat and soya, and carries no gluten-free claim.
If you are managing a diagnosed condition, or you have ongoing tiredness, low energy or any symptom that concerns you, see a doctor. Persistent fatigue often has an identifiable cause.
How should you store Tre-en-en?
Store in a cool, dry place below 25°C and protect from light. Keep the bottle closed between uses and keep it out of reach of children. Do not use the product after the expiry date printed on the pack.
How can you check your Tre-en-en pack is genuine?
Your order arrives as one bottle of the pack size you selected, 60 or 120 capsules, in NeoLife’s white bottle with a white screw cap and a green and white wrap-around label. Recs-Medix has been an authorised distributor of NeoLife in Nigeria since 2017, and every bottle we ship comes through that supply route. These are the checks you can make on the pack itself.
- The front panel shows the NeoLife Nutritionals logo, the TRE-EN-EN Grain Concentrates name, “Providing the complete lipid and sterol profile of wheat, rice and soya”, the words Nutritional Supplement, the capsule count, and Capsule Net Wt 996 mg.
- The dosage panel shows the 1–3 capsule direction, the 675 mg blend with rice bran oil 300 mg, soya bean oil 225 mg and wheat germ oil 150 mg, the other and shell ingredients, then NAFDAC Regn. No. A7-0380 with the NeoLife Scientific Advisory Board seal directly beneath it.
- The manufacturer panel carries the Made For block reading NeoLife International Ltd, Lagos, Nigeria, by Natural Formulas, Hayward, California, U.S.A., and below it the Lot, M (manufacture) and E (expiry) fields, which should all be printed and legible.
- The fourth panel carries “Contains no cholesterol”, the cold pressed and cold processed line, storage below 25°C and the NAFDAC disclaimer.
One line on the pack surprises people: it reads “NOT SOLD IN RETAIL STORES. Available Exclusively from NeoLife Distributors.” That is NeoLife’s distribution model, and an authorised distributor is exactly what Recs-Medix has been since 2017. Seeing that line on your bottle confirms it is NeoLife’s own pack rather than a repackaged product.
NAFDAC registration records the product as registered in Nigeria. It is not an assessment of any health claim. If anything on your pack differs from the description above, contact us with your order number.

What are the benefits and functions of Tre-en-en capsules?
Each capsule supplies 675 mg of the Grain Concentrate Blend: rice bran oil 300 mg, soya bean oil 225 mg and wheat germ oil 150 mg. Those oils carry omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids and the phyto-sterols beta-sitosterol, gamma-oryzanol, stigmasterol and campesterol, plus octacosanol. NeoLife gives three functions for the product: efficient nutrient utilisation, cellular uptake of nutrients and export of waste, and overall cardiovascular growth and development.
Does Tre-en-en help with energy and tiredness?
NeoLife’s wording is that “whole grain concentrates provide cellular nutrition for energy and vitality”. If you have ongoing tiredness, that is worth taking to a doctor, because fatigue that persists often has an identifiable cause.
How much does Tre-en-en cost in Nigeria?
Prices for both the 60-capsule and 120-capsule bottles are shown in the pack-size selector on this page, in Naira for Nigerian customers and in your own currency where available. Payment on Delivery is available nationwide across Nigeria, and DHL Express delivers internationally.
What are the side effects of Tre-en-en?
Tre-en-en contains two declared allergens: wheat, from wheat germ oil and wheat germ powder, and soya, from soya bean oil. Anyone with a wheat allergy, a soya allergy or coeliac disease should not take it. If you feel unwell or notice any reaction after taking Tre-en-en, stop taking it and speak to a doctor or pharmacist, who can advise on whether it is connected to the supplement.
How long should you take Tre-en-en for?
The label sets a daily dose of one to three capsules with meals, and Tre-en-en is designed as an everyday nutritional supplement rather than a short course. If you are taking it alongside prescription medicine or managing a health condition, your doctor or pharmacist is the right person to advise on how long to continue.
Is Tre-en-en the same as wheat germ oil or rice bran oil capsules?
No. A single-oil capsule gives you one of the three. Tre-en-en combines rice bran oil, soya bean oil and wheat germ oil in one capsule at declared amounts of 300 mg, 225 mg and 150 mg, which is what the name refers to: NeoLife gives it as taken from the Greek for “three in one”.
Is Tre-en-en suitable for vegetarians or vegans?
No. The soft capsule shell is made with gelatin and yellow beeswax, both animal-derived. If halal or kosher status matters to you, contact us before ordering and we can check the available product information for you.
Is Tre-en-en NAFDAC registered?
Yes. NAFDAC Registration Number A7-0380 is printed on the dosage panel of both the 60-capsule and 120-capsule bottles, with the NeoLife Scientific Advisory Board seal directly beneath it. Registration records that the product is registered for sale in Nigeria; it is not an assessment of any health claim made for it.
Can international customers order Tre-en-en from Recs-Medix?
Yes. Recs-Medix ships Tre-en-en worldwide by DHL Express, including to the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Europe and Australia. Both pack sizes ship on the same routes, and wheat and soya are declared on the pack for allergen labelling in every one of those markets.
