What is PhytoScience SnowphyllForte used for?
PhytoScience SnowphyllForte is a powdered green drink taken as one sachet a day, mixed into water. The pack describes it as a botanical beverage mix of wheat grass, chlorophyll and snow algae, in a lemon and mint flavour, and it is used as a simple way to add a daily chlorophyll drink to an ordinary diet.
This is a food product — a botanical beverage mix — and not a medicine. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
Each carton holds 15 sachets of 3g, so one box is a 15-day supply at the recommended one sachet a day. It is made in Malaysia for PhytoScience and carries a Halal certification mark (MS 1500).
What is in each sachet?
The ingredients printed on the pack, in the order given, are set out below. The carton lists everything twice, in English and Malay. Quantities are not declared for the individual botanical ingredients, so this page states what is listed and nothing beyond it.

Dextrose and isomalt are listed before the botanical ingredients, and the pack does not disclose the individual amounts of wheat grass, chlorophyll or snow algae extract.
What does a chlorophyll and wheat grass drink actually do?
A chlorophyll drink is best understood as a green food, not a treatment. Chlorophyll is the pigment that makes plants green; wheat grass is a young cereal grass. Taking them in a sachet is a convenient way to have a flavoured wheat grass and chlorophyll beverage as part of your day.
The snow algae ingredient is the most talked-about part of this formula. It comes from a family of Swiss extracts developed by Mibelle Biochemistry, where the published research is on skin cells rather than on the blood, and largely on the extract applied to skin rather than swallowed. The pack lists it as an ingredient and makes no claim about what it does, so neither do we. Sellers who tell you snow algae rebuilds blood are going well past both the label and the science.
Does chlorophyll clean the blood?
No — and it is worth being clear about this, because it is the claim most often attached to this product. Blood filtering is done by your kidneys and liver, continuously, and no drink adds to or replaces that work. “Blood purification” has no clinical definition or measurement.
The “blood builder” idea comes from chlorophyll being built around magnesium where haemoglobin is built around iron. The two molecules share a similar ring structure, but chlorophyll does not act as haemoglobin in the body, and there is not enough evidence to present this or any chlorophyll drink as a treatment for anaemia. If you are tired, pale or breathless, ask for a blood test rather than reaching for a green drink — iron deficiency, B12 deficiency and other causes each need a different answer.

Serving size is 3.00g, one sachet, with 15 servings per pack. Dextrose and isomalt are the first two ingredients listed and account for most of the carbohydrate and the sweetness of the drink. The pack does not declare vitamin or mineral amounts, so this drink should not be counted on as a source of any specific nutrient.
How should you take SnowphyllForte?
The pack directions are simple: take one sachet every day, mixed with 500ml of water. That is a large glass, so use a bottle or a tall tumbler rather than a teacup.

The pack does not specify morning or evening, before or after food, so pick a time that fits your routine. Fifteen sachets is fifteen days, so most people buying it as a daily drink order two boxes at a time.
Who is this drink suitable for?
It suits adults who want an easy daily green drink — people who eat few vegetables, travel a lot, or simply prefer a flavoured sachet to a salad. It needs no refrigeration and mixes into cold water in seconds.
Some people should be more careful, or skip it:
- Coeliac disease or wheat allergy: the pack lists wheat grass powder and carries no gluten-free declaration. Wheat grass is cut before the grain forms, but cross-contact is possible and this pack does not rule it out. Ask your doctor first.
- Anyone watching carbohydrate intake: the base is dextrose and isomalt. The amount is small, but it is sugar-based, and we do not present this drink as a blood sugar product.
- Sensitive digestion: the pack states that excessive use can have a laxative effect, which is typical of sugar alcohols such as isomalt.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding: the pack gives no guidance either way, so speak to your midwife or doctor before using it.
- Children: the pack says keep out of reach of children, and Recs-Medix supplies this product for adults aged 18 and over.

What does this product not do?
Setting expectations properly matters more on a product like this than on most. SnowphyllForte does not detoxify your liver, treat anaemia, manage diabetes or lower blood pressure, and it is not a weight-loss product. It will not replace prescribed medicine, and it is not a substitute for eating vegetables — a sachet of powder is a top-up, not a replacement for the fibre and volume of real greens.
Chlorophyll-containing products may sometimes change stool colour. That is the pigment passing through, and it is not a sign that anything is being flushed out of the body.
What does the pack declare — and what does it leave out?
Being straight about the gaps is more useful to you than filling them in. Here is what the carton in our store actually shows.
- Ingredients are listed in order, but no quantity is given for wheat grass, chlorophyll or snow algae extract, so no dose comparison with other chlorophyll products is possible.
- This “Enhance Formula” pack lists no mulberry leaf, although mulberry is widely quoted online as an ingredient of Snowphyll. That description belongs to the earlier Snowphyll product, not to the carton described here.
- No vitamin or mineral quantities are declared, so no nutrient content claim can properly be made for this drink.
- Manufacturer details are printed in full: made for Phyto Science Sdn Bhd, Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor, Malaysia, with a batch number and manufacturing and expiry dates on every pack.
- Four marks are printed along the base of the carton: the Malaysian Halal MS 1500 certification (1.099-03/2015), an Asia Pacific Super Health Brand seal for 2020–2022, an industry innovation prize dated 2013, and a consumer’s choice seal. The Halal mark is a certification; the other three are industry and marketing awards, useful for checking that your pack matches the genuine article rather than as evidence of what the drink does.
