Norland Wuqing Detox Pack: A Two-Day Liquid Cleanse Routine
The Norland Wuqing Detox Pack is a six-bottle liquid kit taken once, over two consecutive days. It is not a daily supplement and it is not a course you repeat for weeks. You set aside a quiet weekend, follow a fixed timetable, and you are finished by lunchtime on the second day.
The pack reaches customers under several names. The carton front reads Norland Wuqing Herbal Series. Norland’s own brochure calls the same product the Zhimingde Herbal Series. On this site it has been listed for years as the Detox Pro Pack. These names refer to the same product.
What Is Actually in the Box
Six 100 ml glass bottles of two different liquids — not one liquid in six bottles. Mixing them up is the single most common mistake, so the labels are worth reading before you begin.
| Detox Beverage Fruit-Vegetable Beverage | 4 bottles × 100 ml (400 ml total). Fruit and vegetable juice blend, juice content 10% or more. |
|---|---|
| Olive & Lemon Supplement Liquid | 2 bottles × 100 ml (200 ml total). Olive oil with lemon juice. |
| Total | 600 ml across 6 bottles — one complete two-day routine, one person, one time. |
Important dosage correction: each step of the manufacturer’s routine uses a whole 100 ml bottle, not 50 ml. Use the printed product names on the labels to distinguish the two liquids rather than relying on bottle colour.
How the Two-Day Routine Works
This is the schedule as Norland sets it out. Choose two days when you can stay at home and near a toilet — a Friday evening into a Saturday works well for most people.
| Day 1, 6:00 pm | Drink one whole bottle of Detox Beverage, then at least 400 ml of water. |
|---|---|
| Day 1, 8:00 pm | Drink one whole bottle of Detox Beverage, then at least 400 ml of water. |
| Day 1, 10:00 pm | Drink one whole bottle of Olive & Lemon Supplement Liquid, then lie down and rest for about two hours. |
| Day 2, 6:00 am | Drink one whole bottle of Detox Beverage, then at least 400 ml of water. |
| Day 2, 8:00 am | Drink one whole bottle of Detox Beverage, then at least 400 ml of water. |
| Day 2, 8:05 am | Drink the second bottle of Olive & Lemon Supplement Liquid, then lie down and rest for about two hours. |
| Day 2, after midday | Return to normal eating, starting light. Vegetables, soup and fruit are easier on the stomach than a heavy meal. |
Two points where the English and Chinese versions of Norland’s leaflet disagree, so we have taken the safer reading of each. The leaflet’s rest periods are meant to be quiet, still and lying down; it also says not to drink water during those two hours. Drink if you are thirsty, and stop the routine altogether if you feel unwell, faint or dizzy. Nothing on this timetable is worth pushing through discomfort for.
Expect frequent, loose bowel movements from roughly two to eight hours after the first Olive & Lemon bottle. That is the intended effect. Do not plan to drive, work, travel or attend anything during the routine.
What This Pack Does — Explained Honestly
The pack produces a strong, short-lived bowel-clearing effect.
Sorbitol syrup is the second ingredient in the Detox Beverage. Sorbitol is an osmotic laxative that draws water into the bowel. Each Olive & Lemon bottle contains 42 g of fat. Combined with the water intake and the extended period without solid food, the routine can produce a strong bowel clear-out. Feeling temporarily lighter afterwards is more likely to reflect reduced bowel contents and fluid shifts than fat loss.
Some people pass soft green or yellow-brown material during olive-oil-and-citrus routines and may be told it represents gallstones or “toxic scales”. Published analysis has found that similar material can instead be formed from fatty acids in the oil reacting in the gut rather than being true gallstones. See the Lancet correspondence.
This is best understood as a short bowel-clearing routine rather than a treatment for removing stones or toxins from internal organs. It is a food product, not a medicine.
Before You Start: Medicines, Food and Water
Do not stop your medication for this
Some Norland literature for this pack tells users to avoid taking medicine on detox days. Do not follow that instruction. Do not stop, skip, delay or reduce any prescribed medicine in order to complete this routine.
If you take medication of any kind — for blood pressure, diabetes, epilepsy, thyroid, heart, HIV, contraception, mental health or anything else — speak to your pharmacist or doctor before you buy this pack, and follow their advice rather than the leaflet’s. This matters practically as well as in principle: a strong laxative effect plus a near-fast can change how well an oral medicine is absorbed, and that is a conversation for a professional who knows your prescriptions.
Food and drink around the routine
Norland suggests eating lightly and mostly on vegetables on the day you begin, and avoiding alcohol, coffee, strong tea and heavy or fatty meals through the routine and for the rest of day two. That is sensible general advice for any two-day reset.
Who Should Not Use the Wuqing Detox Pack
Norland’s own leaflet excludes a wide group of people, and this is the part of the leaflet we take seriously. Do not use this pack if you are:
- Under 18 or over 68 years of age
- Pregnant, breastfeeding, or menstruating
- Living with any active bleeding or bleeding-prone condition, including internal bleeding, gastrointestinal bleeding or bleeding in the brain
- Unwell right now — a cold, flu, fever or any illness in an acute phase
- A person with a history of heart attack or stroke, unless your own doctor has cleared it
- Seriously ill or receiving hospital treatment — including kidney failure, uraemia, advanced liver cirrhosis, ascites or cancer
Beyond the leaflet, we would add: anyone underweight, anyone with a history of disordered eating, anyone with a bowel condition such as IBD, and anyone who has had recent abdominal surgery should not do a two-day near-fast with a laxative effect without medical advice first.
A specific warning on diabetes
This routine combines roughly nineteen hours without food and 30 g of carbohydrate per Detox Beverage bottle, largely from sorbitol syrup and sugar. If you take insulin or a sulfonylurea (glibenclamide, glimepiride, gliclazide), a prolonged fast carries a real risk of hypoglycaemia. Do not attempt this routine without speaking to the doctor who manages your diabetes.
Ingredients and Allergen Information
These ingredient lists are transcribed from the printed carton.
Detox Beverage Fruit-Vegetable Beverage
Water, sorbitol syrup, apples, pears, bitter melon juice (pulp), lemon juice, banana pulp (sauce), sugar, pomegranate juice concentrate, red grape juice concentrate, red grapefruit juice concentrate, snow lotus culture, fragrant Solomon’s seal rhizome, liquorice, dark plum juice concentrate, finger citron, dipotassium hydrogen phosphate, wheat low poly peptide, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, sodium bicarbonate, vitamin C, pectin, edible flavour, Lactobacillus casei, Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium adolescentis. Juice content 10% or more.
Olive & Lemon Supplement Liquid
Olive oil, purified water, lemon juice. Food additives: xylitol, beta-carotene.
Two things to check before you buy
Gluten. The Detox Beverage contains wheat low poly peptide. If you have coeliac disease or avoid gluten, this pack is not suitable for you.
Liquorice. The Detox Beverage contains liquorice, and the carton does not declare how much. Glycyrrhizin from liquorice can raise blood pressure and lower potassium, which is why intake guidance exists for it. Because no quantity is printed, we cannot tell you whether this pack falls above or below any guidance level — we can only tell you it is present. If you have high blood pressure, heart or kidney disease, or take a diuretic, read the British Heart Foundation’s note on liquorice and blood pressure and speak to your pharmacist first. We have asked Norland for the glycyrrhizin figure and will publish it here when it arrives.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many bottles do I drink at each step?
One whole 100 ml bottle. Four bottles of Detox Beverage across the two days, and two bottles of Olive & Lemon Supplement Liquid. If you have product left over at the end, you have taken it wrongly.
How often can I repeat the Wuqing Detox Pack?
Each pack is one complete routine for one person. Norland does not publish a repeat schedule, and we will not invent one. This is not a product to take back-to-back — treat it as an occasional reset, not a habit.
Will I lose weight?
You will very likely weigh less immediately afterwards, because you have emptied your bowel and eaten almost nothing for a day. That is water and gut contents, not fat, and most of it returns within a few days of normal eating. This pack is not a weight-loss product.
Can I take it while on medication?
Ask your pharmacist or doctor first, and do not stop any prescribed medicine to take it. That applies to every medicine without exception. If your pharmacist advises against it, that advice stands.
Is it safe for diabetics?
Not without medical clearance. The routine involves a long fast alongside a sugar and sorbitol load, and anyone on insulin or a sulfonylurea faces a genuine hypoglycaemia risk. Speak to the doctor managing your diabetes before ordering.
Is a NAFDAC registration number shown on this pack?
No NAFDAC registration number is visible on the photographed carton panels currently available to us, so we have not published one. Registration status remains unconfirmed until the full pack, including the base flap, is checked or independent confirmation is obtained.
What is the difference between the Wuqing Detox Pack and the Detox Pro Pack?
They are the same product. “Detox Pro Pack” is the name this listing has carried on our site for several years; “Wuqing Herbal Series” is what the current carton says. Nothing about the contents has changed.
