Made for night use, not adapted for it
The Kedi 7-Layer Sanitary Pad (Night) is the 280mm version of Kedi’s 7-Layer range. The day pad in the same range is 240mm. That difference is the point of the product: night wear asks more of a pad than day wear does, and Kedi sizes the two separately rather than selling one pad for both.
The 7-Layer design brings several things together in a single ultra-thin pad:
- A soft, cottony non-woven surface — the pad’s main surface material, ultra-thin and comfortable against the skin.
- Quick surface absorption — the cotton surface is designed to absorb liquid five times faster, so fluid moves into the pad rather than sitting on top of it.
- SAP composite core — super-absorbent polymer composite paper with a high absorptive capacity, described on the pack as helping the pad stay cool and dry.
- Breathable bottom layer — a breathable PE film that allows quick release of moisture instead of sealing it in.
- Lavender and mint — a freshness element built into the pad.
- Magnetic, negative-ion and far-infrared chip — Kedi’s “healthy high-tech chip” feature (see below).
Together these are what the pad is engineered to do: absorb quickly, stay comfortable and breathe.
Lavender and Mint Freshness
The pad contains lavender and mint. It is a scented sanitary pad — worth knowing before you buy if you prefer unscented products or have reacted to scented pads before.
About the “healthy high-tech chip”
Kedi describes the pad as containing a magnetic, negative-ion and far-infrared chip. The packaging states this directly and plainly:
“Sanitary pad with healthy high-tech chip. Does not contain any drug.”
That last sentence matters. This is a hygiene product, not a medicine. It should not be presented — by anyone — as a treatment for infections, fibroids, fertility problems or any other medical condition. Kedi does not make those claims on the pack. If you have symptoms, please see a doctor or pharmacist.
How to Use
- Unwrap the pad and peel back the cover sheet from the adhesive.
- Place the pad centrally in the gusset of your underwear.
- Press down firmly so the adhesive holds.
- Change every 4–6 hours, or sooner if saturated.
- Wrap the used pad and put it in a bin. Do not flush.
Storage: keep in a shady, cool, dry place.
Safety and Warnings
Taken from the manufacturer’s on-pack warnings:
- Not recommended for pregnant women. This is Kedi’s stated warning, printed on every pack.
- Stop using if you feel any discomfort.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Contains no drug. It is a hygiene product, not a medicine.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the benefits of the 7-layer pad?
Quick absorption, comfort and breathability. The cottony non-woven surface is designed to absorb liquid five times faster, the SAP composite core has a high absorptive capacity, and the breathable bottom layer allows moisture to be released rather than trapped.
How much is the Kedi 7-Layer sanitary pad (Night) in Nigeria?
The current price for the 280mm, 10-piece pack is shown at the top of this page. It is the same price in our Lagos and Abuja stores, and we deliver nationwide.
What is the work of a 7-layer sanitary pad in pregnancy?
None. Kedi’s packaging carries the warning: “This product is not recommended for pregnant women.” If you are pregnant, ask your doctor or midwife what is appropriate for you.
Does the Kedi pad cure infections?
No. The packaging states that the pad “does not contain any drug”. It is a hygiene product, not a treatment for infections or any other condition. If you have unusual discharge, odour, itching or pain, see a doctor or pharmacist.
What are the benefits of using night pads?
Night pads are longer. This one is 280mm, against 240mm for the day version, which is what makes it suited to overnight wear rather than daytime use.
Are there side effects to the 7-Layer sanitary pad?
It is a scented pad, and some women find scented sanitary products irritating. Kedi’s instruction is to stop using it if you feel any discomfort. It is not recommended for pregnant women.
How do I use it?
Peel off the cover sheet, place the pad centrally in the gusset, press down to secure, and change every 4–6 hours. Wrap and bin after use — do not flush.
Day or Night — which should I buy?
The Day pad is 240mm, for daytime use. The Night pad is 280mm, for night use. Many customers keep both.
