What Is Kasly Citrus Sour Tablet?

Kasly Citrus Sour Tablet is an effervescent tablet taken as a daily drink. Drop one or two tablets into a glass of lukewarm boiled water, wait for the fizzing to stop, and drink — there is no capsule or hard tablet to swallow. The manufacturer’s stated indication, printed on the tube, is: “Nutritional supplement that assists the body in promoting the function of the liver.” Each tube holds 12 tablets.

The same product has been supplied under the Tasly name in earlier runs, so you may know it as Tasly Citrus Sour Tablet. Stock we are currently receiving is printed Kasly and carries NAFDAC registration number A7-1250.

It suits adults who want a supplement in drink form rather than a pill, and anyone who finds capsules difficult to swallow. Read the precautions below before ordering — this product carries a meaningful sodium load and a substantial beta-carotene dose, and both matter for some people.

Recs-Medix has been an authorised distributor of Kasly and Tasly branded products in Nigeria since 2017. Order online for Payment on Delivery nationwide in Nigeria, same-day delivery in Lagos and Abuja, or DHL Express worldwide.

This is a dietary supplement, not a medicine. It is intended to support general health and wellbeing, not to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

What Does Kasly Citrus Sour Tablet Do?

Its purpose, in the manufacturer’s own words, is as a “nutritional supplement that assists the body in promoting the function of the liver.” The ingredient behind that is glucuronolactone, at 775mg per tablet. Each tablet also supplies 10mg of beta-carotene, which the body converts into vitamin A — a nutrient that contributes to the normal function of the immune system and to the maintenance of normal skin and normal vision.

Glucuronolactone converts in the body into glucuronic acid. The liver uses glucuronic acid in glucuronidation, a normal process in which certain compounds are bound into water-soluble forms and passed out in urine.

These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. The tube also carries the manufacturer’s own line that its claims have not been evaluated by NAFDAC.

What Are the Key Benefits of Kasly Citrus Sour Tablet?

  • Supplies 775mg of glucuronolactone per tablet — the ingredient behind the manufacturer’s stated liver-function indication
  • Supplies beta-carotene, which the body converts to vitamin A, a nutrient contributing to normal immune function, normal skin and normal vision
  • Dissolves completely in water, so there is nothing to swallow
  • Ready to drink from a single glass of water, with a sour citrus flavour
  • Twelve tablets in a sealed tube — a short pack rather than a large bottle to commit to
  • Supplied by an authorised Kasly and Tasly distributor operating in Nigeria since 2017

What Are the Key Ingredients?

Glucuronolactone — 775mg per tablet

A compound derived from glucose. The body converts it into glucuronic acid, which the liver uses in glucuronidation, one of the normal routes by which compounds are made water-soluble and cleared through the kidneys. It is the ingredient the manufacturer’s liver indication rests on.

Beta-Carotene — 10mg per tablet

The provitamin A carotenoid found naturally in orange and yellow fruit and vegetables. The body converts it into vitamin A as required. Vitamin A contributes to the normal function of the immune system and to the maintenance of normal skin and normal vision. At 10mg per tablet this is a substantial supplemental dose — read the smoking precaution below before use.

Citric Acid and Sodium Bicarbonate — 2000mg and 1000mg per tablet

These form the effervescent system. In water they react to release carbon dioxide, which breaks the tablet apart and gives the drink its fizz and sour citrus taste. The sodium bicarbonate also means each tablet carries a significant amount of sodium — see the sodium note below.

Composition

Ingredient Per tablet
Citric Acid 2000mg
Sodium Bicarbonate 1000mg
Glucuronolactone 775mg
Polyethylene Glycol 6000 200mg
Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium 15mg
Beta-Carotene 10mg
Total tablet weight 4000mg

Twelve tablets per tube. A serving is 1 to 2 tablets, giving 6 to 12 servings per tube — calculated from the pack count and the directions on the tube. NAFDAC registration number: A7-1250.

How Do You Take Kasly Citrus Sour Tablet?

Dissolve 1 to 2 tablets in a glass of lukewarm boiled water. Take orally after effervescence. Take 1 to 2 times daily, or as directed by your health practitioner. Do not put a tablet directly into your mouth. Read the package insert supplied inside your tube before first use.

Those directions allow between 1 and 4 tablets a day, so one tube of 12 covers 3 days at the maximum daily amount and 12 days at the minimum — calculated from the pack count and the stated directions. Take the lowest amount that suits you rather than the maximum by default, and speak to a healthcare professional about how long to continue.

Best Results Routine

Take it at the same point in the day so it becomes a habit, and drink it promptly once the fizzing stops. Many people find it sits more comfortably after a meal than on an empty stomach. Keep your usual water intake up alongside it.

Results vary between individuals. Supplements are intended to support a healthy diet and lifestyle, not to replace them.

Who Should Avoid Kasly Citrus Sour Tablet or Check First?

Do not use this product if you smoke, have recently stopped smoking, or have been exposed to asbestos. Each tablet supplies 10mg of beta-carotene, so the stated directions allow an intake of 10mg to 40mg a day. European food safety guidance advises that people who smoke should avoid food supplements containing beta-carotene, and supplemental doses of 20mg a day and above have been linked in clinical trials to increased lung cancer risk in heavy smokers and in asbestos-exposed workers.

Sodium content. Each tablet contains 1000mg of sodium bicarbonate, which works out at approximately 274mg of sodium per tablet, or roughly 274mg to 1,096mg of sodium a day across the stated dosage range — calculated from the sodium bicarbonate figure on the tube. If you have high blood pressure, heart disease, kidney disease, or you have been advised to follow a low-sodium diet, speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using this product.

  • Do not use if you are allergic to any listed ingredient
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, speak to a healthcare professional before use — vitamin A intake is a specific concern in pregnancy
  • Not intended for anyone under 18 unless a healthcare professional directs otherwise
  • If you take prescription medication, check with your pharmacist or doctor first
  • If you have a diagnosed liver condition or any other chronic condition, speak to your doctor before use
  • Do not take alongside another supplement containing beta-carotene or vitamin A without professional advice

What Are the Possible Side Effects?

Effervescent products of this type can cause mild bloating, burping or stomach discomfort in some people, particularly when taken on an empty stomach — the citric acid and the carbon dioxide are the usual reasons.

High intakes of beta-carotene can give the skin a harmless yellow-orange tint, which fades once intake is reduced. The sodium load described above is the main consideration for anyone managing blood pressure or fluid balance. Stop use and speak to a healthcare professional if you experience any reaction that concerns you.

What Kasly Citrus Sour Tablet Does Not Do

This is a food supplement, not a medicine. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, including any liver disease. It does not undo the effects of alcohol, protect against alcohol, or work as a hangover remedy. It does not replace prescription medication or medical care, and it is not a substitute for a balanced diet. Results are not instant and are not guaranteed.

Storage Instructions

  • Store in a dry, cool place at room temperature below 25°C in a well-closed container
  • Close the tube tightly after every use — effervescent tablets take up moisture from the air and lose their fizz if left open
  • Keep out of reach of children
  • Check the batch, manufacture and expiry details printed on the base of the tube before use

Authenticity and What You Will Receive

You will receive one tube of 12 effervescent tablets, with batch, manufacture and expiry details printed on the base and NAFDAC registration number A7-1250 printed on the tube. You can check that number for yourself against the NAFDAC Greenbook, Nigeria’s official register. The manufacturer also prints its own statement that its claims have not been evaluated by NAFDAC — both appear on the pack, and both are accurate.

The product is made by Kasly Healthcare Technology Co., Ltd of Beichen District, Tianjin, China, and marketed in Nigeria by Kasly Health (Nigeria) Co., Ltd of Adeniyi Jones, Ikeja, Lagos. Both are part of the Tasly group, whose parent company was founded in Tianjin in 1994 and whose listed pharmaceutical subsidiary trades on the Shanghai Stock Exchange under ticker 600535. Kasly and Tasly are two brand names used by that same group, which is why this product has appeared under both — our Kasly vs Tasly guide sets out the corporate structure with photographed label comparisons from our own stock.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Kasly Citrus Sour Tablet used for?

The manufacturer describes it as a “nutritional supplement that assists the body in promoting the function of the liver.” Each tablet supplies 775mg of glucuronolactone and 10mg of beta-carotene, which the body converts to vitamin A. It is taken as an effervescent drink, and it is a food supplement rather than a medicine.

Is Kasly Citrus Sour Tablet the same as Tasly Citrus Sour Tablet?

They are the same product line under two brand names belonging to the same Tasly group. Stock we are currently receiving is printed Kasly; earlier runs were printed Tasly. Our Kasly vs Tasly guide explains the corporate structure, and we will photograph the tube we would send you on request.

How long does one tube last?

One tube holds 12 tablets. The directions allow 1 to 2 tablets taken 1 to 2 times daily, which is 1 to 4 tablets a day, so a tube covers between 3 and 12 days depending on how you take it.

What does 4000mg mean on the tube?

4000mg is the total weight of one whole tablet, not the dose of a single active ingredient. The six listed ingredients — citric acid, sodium bicarbonate, glucuronolactone, polyethylene glycol 6000, carboxymethylcellulose sodium and beta-carotene — add up to exactly 4000mg.

Does Kasly Citrus Sour Tablet have side effects?

Mild bloating, burping or stomach discomfort can occur, particularly on an empty stomach. Each tablet also supplies roughly 274mg of sodium and 10mg of beta-carotene, so there are specific precautions for people managing blood pressure and for anyone who smokes or has been exposed to asbestos. Read the Who Should Avoid section above in full before use.

Can I take it every day?

The directions allow daily use within the range of 1 to 4 tablets a day. Do not use it at all if you smoke, have recently stopped smoking, or have been exposed to asbestos. Check with a healthcare professional before daily use if you manage high blood pressure, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or take regular medication, and ask how long it is appropriate to continue.

Is it NAFDAC registered?

Yes. The NAFDAC registration number is A7-1250, printed on the tube alongside the batch and expiry details, and you can check it against the NAFDAC Greenbook. The manufacturer separately prints that its own claims have not been evaluated by NAFDAC. Message us on WhatsApp at +234 812 106 2876 and we can photograph the registration panel of the tube we would send you.

How do I buy it in Nigeria, and do you ship abroad?

Order online for delivery anywhere in Nigeria with Payment on Delivery, same-day delivery in Lagos and Abuja, or collection from our Lagos and Abuja stores. We ship internationally by DHL Express — message us before ordering and we can quote your delivered cost and check what applies to your destination.

Individual results may vary. This product is a food supplement and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
